Joining Him Atop San Cristobal

Though it emits a menacing puff of sulfurous smoke as a testament to its vibrancy as an active volcano, together with 11 others, we set to tackle San Cristobal. Nicaragua’s tallest (active) volcano was a test of endurance and strength, but with a strategy of one-foot-in-front-of-the-other, we eventually made it to the summit. The journey to the top, despite the struggle, is one filled with moments of great peace and having a deep sense that He is with you and surrounding you.

Heart with Haiti

God sent me and my ship, USS Normandy, to aid in the disaster relief in Haiti. While not being able to directly be a part, just being so close to the hurt has brought on a flood of thoughts and shared pain.

Madrid Part 2: Inside the Moroccan/Muslim World

I have been in Madrid now for two days, linking up with Alex (his name changed to protect his identity), a missionary sent here to minister specifically to the Moroccan population of Madrid, the majority of which are Muslim, though a portion (how much or little is uncertain) connect to the faith more culturally than religiously.

The never-ending journey of life that God has set me on has now taken me to Spain, where I am meeting with local missionaries and then will be touring around with my wife; the first part being sort of a spiritual retreat and the second part being sort of a romantic retreat. Both of which hopefully pleasing to the Lord.

I was able to see the compassion of Christ move through me and others as we fed Norfolk needy barbecue and the saving message of Jesus. It was a beautiful day to see the Lord work and link people of all types together as one.
