Confidence in His Movement in Haiti
It's really hard to imagine life differently than this now. It feels like I have been in Haiti for months if not a year already and I am just now making it to day27. The joy and welcoming spirit of the people here make it feel like home.
It is hard to even describe the environment here. It seems surreal - buildings crushed and laying in the streets. Cars that were demolished during the earthquake... haven't moved. Massive portions of town going on 3 months without power. The smell of death still lingers in some areas. However, the moral of the people has not disappeared. They know this is not a time to give up. Their appreciation for medical teams, relief workers and ministers is seen everyday - by their waves as we drive by, in their eyes as they are treated by doctors and through their beautiful smiles. Love is not a difficult emotion to express. It is also something that is greatly appreciated.
